The Grand Order of Ravenienne

There must be few who don't know what the Grand Order is. The largest collective on Zeirenjier, members of the Grand Order worship the one and only Lord Ravenienne, who has created us and clears our spirits of filth. Or so they say.

Redwater Ministers

Without Lord Ravenienne himself on Zeirenjier, the Redwater ministers have to spread the word in his place. They lead the Redwater sanctuaries and altars across the continent. The ministers are often in charge of community services and charities, as well. The "Redwater" part of their title comes from the location of Redwater, Ravenguard; where the first permanent Grand Order sanctuary was built and is still operating in to this day.

Especially during sanctuary gatherings, all ministers are expected to wear similarly styled vestments that consist of the patterns and colors strongly associated with Lord Ravenienne, being red, green, and grey. They do not need to wear this identifying clothing at all times, but some may choose to don red neck wear such as a scarf or bandanna at minimum. Creatures who have never been inducted into the ministry are forbidden from wearing outfits that resemble the Redwater vestments, as it falls under Chirua's impersonation law.

Unsurprisingly, Redwater ministers tend to be the most vocal about the "depravity" of the Zaergenzeral Cult. They will protest anything with known connections to it, and pay for advertisements warning of the deceptive practices and the wicked paths in life the Cultists take. The clashes between the two have permeated the cultures of Chirua, leading to general distaste for members of the opposing group, unofficially segregated regions, and physical altercations on the streets. There have been attempts at placating them both, but it has yet to last.

Sotonagyo

Sotonagyo, or Causainmyar, is the last creature to have been made directly from Lord Ravenienne's bones. As Grandmaster, he has the highest authority within the Grand Order, and the Redwater ministers look to him for guidance. Like the Makulatorrven Eolin-fal, he lives on Zeirenjier with the rest of us. In his own words, his role on Zeirenjier is to lead the followers of the Grand Order onto the righteous path, and prevent the Eolin-fal from manipulating others into following in Saulzienne's footsteps.

Doctrine

[Redwater sanctuaries and the Grand Library have the full writings the Grand Order is based on, by the way. This is a paraphrasing, and not my personal thoughts.]

Lord Ravenienne and Saulzienne, formally called Makulatorr and Chirua, were the two creators of everything we know, having worked hard to create what the two dead gods before them failed to. Both made the environment, but Saulzienne created the Ichauri-irin, while Lord Ravenienne created the Etai-irin. They stayed vigilant as Zeirenjier's creatures grew, keeping an eye out for any trouble they may stir amongst each other. The closest to peace that the creatures of Zeirenjier had remained for thousands of years.

Change occurred in Saulzienne's head, turning him away from the benevolent entity he once was, worrying the little creatures below him. Lord Ravenienne confronted Saulzienne and tried to help him reverse the course he was on, but Saulzienne didn't budge. After causing harm to the creatures of Zeirenjier, Lord Ravenienne stripped Saulzienne of his position, casting him into inferiority. Blood boiling with fury, Saulzienne further terrorized the life on Zeirenjier, provoking Lord Ravenienne into a great heated battle that required their full might.

The Lord of Redwater finally struck him down, killing what was once his beloved brother. What little power remained in Saulzienne's spirit allowed it to stay anchored to Zeirenjier rather than disperse into the nothingness of space. Imbued with the hatred he had at his death, his spirit infected many creatures across the world and stained their souls as black as his, releasing great evil among the innocent that is still present to this day. Lord Ravenienne himself was permanently weakened after the battle, losing much of the strength he once had.

Soon after Saulzienne was killed, Lord Ravenienne started anew, rebuilding Zeirenjier to remove as much of Saulzienne's now-tainted influence as possible. Killing Saulzienne deeply wounded Lord Ravenienne's heart, for he was still the brother that was overseeing Zeirenjier with him for so long. He felt the difficult responsibility and loneliness of taking care of Zeirenjier on his own, and couldn't imagine doing so for much longer. He used his blood and bones to create three new creatures: Jangzowaheiv, Camanzauran, and Maugranam; all of whom he had considered his children. Makulatorrven Eolin-fal. The three of them were intended to take what was once Saulzienne's role.

The Eolin-fal had helped the little creatures of Zeirenjier recover from their tragedies, rebuilding what was destroyed and gaining their trust. They aided in unifying the population of Zeirenjier under Lord Ravenienne, teaching them Jeonzikha and helping them let go of Saulzienne. But even creatures as powerful as the Eolin-fal were not immune to the influence of Saulzienne's lingering spirit. They revolted against the Lord of Redwater, manipulating his people into abandoning him and convincing them to commit wicked deeds that harmed the other creatures of Zeirenjier, as if Saulzienne himself had returned. The faithful creatures pleaded with Lord Ravenienne to do something about the Eolin-fal, to protect them from the chaos they were sowing in their world. But, what Lord Ravenienne could do to Saulzienne, he could not do to his own children. He did not have the ability to kill them, having removed such power to never repeat his brother's actions.

But he could not stand by and watch as his little creatures suffered. Lord Ravenienne used his blood and bones, more so than he did for all three Eolin-fal, for the last time to create Causainmyar. In Lord Ravenienne's place, Causainmyar was to lead the Grand Order and protect the world's creatures from the Eolin-fal's manipulation. Within his limited power, he was to undo the damages the Eolin-fal would inevitably cause, and strengthen the hope Lord Ravenienne's devoted had in the world's future. As the Lord of Redwater continued to rest, he promised to keep a constant watch over Causainmyar to prevent Saulzienne's influence from taking hold and corrupting him. He wanted to avoid repetition of the fate of the Eolin-fal, whose appearances by then had changed to reflect the corrosion of their spirits.

The Makulatorrven Eolin-fal have since fabricated many stories regarding Zeirenjier and Lord Ravenienne's true motives in an attempt to disrupt and encourage abandonment of faith in the Grand Order. One such tale of theirs is that the current state of Chirua was their imprisonment for their disobedience, preventing them (and now, us) from fully traversing the world... a claim that the Eolin-fal have failed to prove with anything other than their word. Another false story they tell is that Causainmyar was sent to kill them, their ruined appearances being proof of a battle with him in which they had been victorious. The Eolin-fal and their cult use the Grand Library to mislead the public into believing events such as this have occurred in history by planting false documentation among the genuine in its archives.

Their most egregious lie, the one they wholly depend on to spread their ideology, is that the Lord of Redwater planned to destroy the creatures he didn't make—all the Ichauri-irin—to replace them with his own creations; the Eolin-fal are only trying to protect us from an evil we are manipulated into worshipping. Had this been true, Grandmaster Causainmyar would not be on Zeirenjier with us, communicating on our behalf with Lord Ravenienne. He leads us through our many struggles, and personally contributes to Chirua prospering as it is. Why, then, would Lord Ravenienne bother to send Causainmyar and help improve our lives if that was his plan? A waste of time and effort.

The Eolin-fal's lies will fall through. Their cult will not last, and their efforts will be for naught.

Grand Order Tenets

A few things that Grand Order members are commonly observed following or believe in. These are assumed to have been written by the Redwater ministers to give the devoted consistent ways to gain Lord Ravenienne's favor.
